  • Once a Candidate is activated on the Sim Online Training, he or she will have 180 days to complete the training. This is the candidate’s responsibility and not I.D. Energy’s. If the candidate lapses on their 180-day window, they will need to be re-enrolled in the training and start from the beginning.
  • Once a Candidate is activated into the Virtual Mentorship, he or she will have 180 days to complete the mentoring. This is the candidate’s responsibility and not I.D. Energy’s. If the candidate lapses on their 180-day window, they will need to be enrolled in a SIM refresher course before able to perform a Home Energy Score.
  • Once a Candidate is Approved as a Certified Assessor they must submit an assessment every 180 day or they will be de-activated from the program per DOE requirements and will need to perform a refresher course.
  • If an assessor completes training through the Virtual Mentorship, the DOE requires that their first or initial 5 scores receive QA. This is a part of the Fast Track Training package. If you enrolled into the Virtual Mentorship during 2017 you will need to purchase your Initial 5 QA scores additionally.
  • All Scores must be entered using provided Paperless Inspectors profile, I.D. Energy mobile app, or I.D. Energy approved software. Failure to do so may lead to corrective action.
  • Each Score submitted will be tracked accordingly and QA will be performed on at least 5% by DOE requirements.
  • Required photo schedule is mandatory with each score submitted for QA.
  • QA reports returned to assessor will include detailed feedback by an approved DOE auditor.
  • Approved DOE Auditor will submit a QA report directly to the DOE when performed.
  • Reports with significant errors will be required to be corrected by the assessor and returned to client.
